If you haven't already noticed, I'm a huge fan of Jason Travis and his crazy awesome work, whether photography, graphic design, or music (he's in two bands!). So in a new partnership with him, we bring you Imprints by JTrav, a look into Jason's photography archives. Check back every other Monday for new pictures by JTrav!
SNAPSHOTS WITH TIM LAMPE / NO.1
Happy Friday! This is the start of a new column for Glass & Sable I'm doing called Snapshots. This column will feature a weekly breakdown of 8 memorable images grabbed from Instagram users for the week. You may be familiar with Instagram, the mobile-only photo sharing experience where you can add filters to your photos and embrace community. It's surely one of my favorite things, and hopefully you've had a chance to discover it too. This first week is a hodge podge of ideas, but they revolve around the idea of "big views". In the following weeks you'll see me dive into more specific topics, but let's get started. Each photo should be tagged with the person who took the picture.

One of my favorite captures this week , but this shot is simply magnificent. The colors and the contrast create a dreamy scene.

Their feed is full of photos from a cross-country road-trip that you can't help but be jealous of. This shot is full of warm landscapes.

Sang's photos are universally among my favorite on Instagram, but the peak of sunshine that rains down on this makes for a perfect shot. His edits are second to none.

You'll find hundreds of Golden Gate Bridge shots on Instagram, whether it's foggy bridge shots or far-away shots, but this one is among my favorites. The composition of this shot is fantastic too.

Nicole's landscapes seem almost unreal but maybe it's because we're not as lucky as her to be experiencing them. As such, we get to live through her captures. This one features a fantastic reflection of the mountains and sky.

Mike attached this image with the comments of a place of tranquility and I couldn't agree more. The asymmetrical composition and blissful colors allow the viewer to relax just by looking at this photo.

LIVING WALLS
by Stan and Lex (not finished)This past week was the 3rd annual Living Walls Conference. It's an amazing project that address the topic of urbanism and street art in Atlanta, giving a real place for artists to change this city into a beautiful landscape of art and dialogue.
Yesterday Tim and I drove around to many sites looking at some of the pieces that have been put up recently. We are so excited to see the creativity in this city and the changes that have been made to promote street art. Now it seems like every turn we make, there is a gorgeous mural.

The awesome thing about the last one is that it is a house scheduled to be demolished this week. "Try To Remember This" makes a great statement on the temporarily tangible things in our lives and the power of photography to preserve them.

FOR YOUR WALLS
I know last week is long gone, but I just had to post this anyways. I wanted to share some art and photography before moving on with the rest of this week. I left on Friday afternoon for Florida, and I was slammed all weekend. Hope your long weekend was nice! More on mine later.

TEND THE FIRE
I'm working on a new project for BURNAWAY the online arts publication that I work for. They're are wanting to brand their membership campaign and I've been throwing some ideas around. Right now their membership page looks like this and I think that's a bit of overkill - not to mention eyekill. I liked the idea of using "burn" without actually showing flames, since flames are over done (I think). So taking some inspiration from vintage matchbooks, I came up with this little design draft. I know it still looks flat, but I'm not quite done. I have another idea in my back pocket, but I haven't pumped it out just yet. Do you like it so far?
